The Turkish jet's blue path as shown might be impossible. Fighter jets take some space to turn around, a big arc. Maybe this scale makes it okay, but that's the sharpest turn shown by a long shot, almost 180 all at once, like a ping pong ball bouncing. --Caustic Logic (talk) 19:50, 27 November 2015 (UTC)

There is a more detailed Russian version. It is likely drawn in some graphics editor, schematically, without giving full details. Also it was reported that after the hit F16 maneuvered lower avoiding radar--some portion can be missing than. For the Russian plane, the label says "distance to the border 1 km" at the nearest point --Resup (talk) 20:14, 27 November 2015 (UTC)

It's just a rendition, not necessarily a real claim, so I'll hold off ... (on everything 'til later - Thanksgiving w/family, part 2). I'm skeptical of both sides on these kind of things - MoD it seems can be totally right, but make a totally wrong argument to support that and look like liars to many. I hope they aren't doing that here (and what would be the lie? Really, that thay did fly into a friendly coalition partner's space for a moment?), but comments at that Twitter posting suggest people are taking it that way, and seeming to think it matters like that. --Caustic Logic (talk) 20:44, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
"Look like liars to many" - are that those who don't understand the ridiculousness of "ten warnings in five minutes" claim given any of the depicted scenarios, and the fact that at no point any danger to Turkey could have been reasonably assumed? Well, screw those guys... ;o) Anyway, happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! --CE (talk) 21:04, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
